Privacy Policy
The short version
This is the personal portfolio site of Pratyush. It's an informational site — there are no accounts to create and nothing to buy. There's a contact form: what you type is emailed to me so I can reply, and a copy is kept in a private spreadsheet so no message gets lost. It's never used for marketing.
For analytics I use cookieless Vercel Web Analytics plus two tools that use cookies: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. They show me how many people visit, where they came from and which pages are useful. If you're outside Europe and the UK, these analytics cookies are on from your first visit, and by continuing to use the site you accept them. If you're in Europe or the UK, they only switch on if you choose Accept. Either way, you can turn them off at any time with "Analytics choices" in the footer. I don't build profiles to follow you around the web, and I never sell your data.
Cookies and your consent
This site's cookies are for analytics, with one exception described at the end of this section: Google Analytics (cookies named _ga and _ga_…) and Microsoft Clarity (cookies such as _clck and _clsk). There are no advertising cookies.
If you're outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, these cookies are set from your first visit. A notice at the bottom of the page tells you so, and by continuing to use the site you accept them. Pressing OK just hides the notice.
If you're in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, nothing is set until you choose Accept on the banner. If you choose Decline, neither tool loads. Your region is estimated from your device's time zone; no location lookup is made.
You can change your mind at any time: "Analytics choices" in the footer of every page lets you Accept or Decline. Declining turns Google Analytics and Clarity off on that browser straight away and stops any recording in progress.
Your choice, and whether you've seen the notice, are remembered in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so you aren't asked on every page.
The exception is the language cookie. The site comes in several languages, and on your first visit it opens in your browser's language when there is a translation for it (your browser sends its language with every request, and nothing is stored for this). If you pick a language from the language menu, a cookie named lang remembers that choice for a year, so the site stops choosing for you. It holds only the language code and is not used for analytics.
What's collected (analytics)
Vercel Web Analytics is a privacy-first, cookieless tool. It records aggregate, anonymous data about visits — page views, which pages are viewed, the referring source (e.g. a social link), approximate country, and device/browser type. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not identify you.
Google Analytics 4 sets cookies and helps me see how visitors move through the site, for example which projects, case studies or prices get viewed, and which contact buttons get clicked. Google processes this data on my behalf; see Google's privacy policy for details. When it loads depends on where you are (see "Cookies and your consent" above).
Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use pages (scrolling, clicks and taps, and how the page responds) so I can replay sessions and see heatmaps to spot what's confusing. Everything typed into the site's forms is masked and never recorded. Clarity uses cookies and is processed by Microsoft on my behalf; see Microsoft's privacy statement for details. It follows exactly the same consent rules as Google Analytics.
Some links I share in emails or messages carry a short campaign code (for example ?ref=ig-spring-campaign). It tells me which channel and campaign a visit came from, not who you are, and it's removed from the address bar as soon as the page loads.
Contacting me
If you use the contact form or email me, I'll have whatever you choose to share (your name, message, and email address) so I can reply. I use that only to respond to you and don't add you to any list.
What you send through the site's forms is emailed to me through Resend, and a copy is saved in a private Google Sheet that only I can open, so a message isn't lost if an email goes astray. Google stores that sheet on my behalf; see Google's privacy policy for details.
If you use the build estimator and ask for a quote, your answers are sent to me along with anything optional you add (company or website, phone/WhatsApp number, budget and project details). I use them only to reply with a quote.
When you send a message, ask for a quote, or ask for your estimate by email, a short confirmation goes to the email address you enter. It doesn't add you to any list.
Messages sent through the form also include the page you first landed on in that visit and, if you arrived from one of my links, its channel and campaign code — so I know which conversation you're replying to. This is kept in your browser tab only for that visit (not a cookie) and is sent only if you submit the form.
If you book a call, the booking page is run by Cal.com, which collects what you enter there (your name, email and anything you add). When analytics are on, the booking link also tells Cal.com which channel and campaign your visit came from and which page you landed on, so I can see which messages lead to calls. It says nothing about who you are.
Links to other sites
The project cards link out to live demos and third-party sites. Once you click through, you're on someone else's site, governed by their privacy practices — not this policy.
Your choices
Use "Analytics choices" in the footer to turn Google Analytics and Clarity off (Decline) or back on (Accept) on this browser at any time. Blocking cookies in your browser, or using a content or ad blocker that blocks analytics scripts, also works, and the site will work exactly the same. The cookieless Vercel analytics carries no personal data.
