Rejuv — Personal Gym, Naha, Okinawa

Rejuv · Fitness · Bilingual Landing Page & Analytics

A bilingual landing page built to turn Instagram and Google Maps visitors into LINE consultations and trial bookings, with measurement a non-technical owner can actually read.

The challenge

Rejuv's approach is 「鍛える前に、整える。」: align the body before you train it. The owner had strong social proof, including a ★4.9 rating across 74 Google reviews, and was getting interest from Instagram. What he lacked was a page that explained that approach clearly and moved visitors to one of two actions: a free LINE consultation, or booking a trial session.

There were three extra constraints:

  • Language. The owner works in Japanese, and some visitors don't.
  • Technical comfort. The owner is not technical, so whatever I built had to be something he could own and understand without me.
  • Budget. Hosting was a shared Xserver plan, with no build pipeline.

What I built

A conversion-focused landing page

A single landing page with 17 sections that tell the story in order: the visitor's pain points → the philosophy → why Rejuv → how it works → real client transformations → Google reviews → the trainer → pricing → trial offer → access → FAQ.

  • Every section ends in the same two-button hierarchy. LINE consultation is the primary action; trial booking is the secondary one.
  • On phones, both buttons sit in a sticky bar at the bottom of the screen, so they're always within reach.

A pricing section that answers questions before they're asked

  • Two premium 90-day programs, with a feature-by-feature comparison table.
  • 15 course options, each linked directly to its own page in the booking system.
  • Pack prices show both the total and the per-session price. The booking system lists courses by per-session price, so showing only the total would have made the price seem to change when a visitor clicked through.

Bilingual from the ground up

A JP/EN toggle covers more than 230 strings, with Japanese as the source of truth. The mobile line breaks were hand-tuned so that Japanese headlines break where a Japanese reader expects them to.

The client's own photography throughout

I compressed and cropped a raw shoot for the web, and built a masonry wall of before/after transformations and real Google review screenshots. The page uses no stock photos.

Legal pages written from what the site actually does

  • A 特定商取引法 notice (Japan's required seller disclosure), covering every payment method and the cancellation terms.
  • A privacy policy covering the analytics, external data transfer (外部送信), and third-party services.

Measurement the owner can read

  • Tracking setup. I set up Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager and tagged more than 40 buttons and links.
  • Two headline metrics. LINE consultation clicks and booking clicks are key events, and every click records which part of the page it came from.
  • Channel tracking. I added tagged links to the Instagram bio and the Google Maps listing, so visits from each channel are attributed correctly. The first real Instagram visit showed up as expected.
  • A dashboard in plain Japanese. A Looker Studio report shows three things only: how many people visited, how many pressed each button, and where they came from. Before handover I checked every tile against GA4. That check caught a table that looked correct but was counting sessions instead of clicks.
  • Search Console. I verified the domain and submitted the sitemap.
  • Consent. A cookie notice is in place, and the privacy policy was updated in the same release as the analytics, so the site never claimed "no tracking" while tracking was running.

Launch and handover

  • Launch. I replaced a leftover WordPress install on the client's server and deployed through an encrypted FTP script. The script lists every change before applying it, and it can only upload approved site files.
  • Checks. I audited the layout at more than 20 screen widths (320–1440px), tested on real iOS and Android devices, and covered accessibility basics: descriptive alt text on all 28 images, keyboard navigation, reduced-motion support, and a working page even without JavaScript.
  • Search and sharing. I added structured local-business data and designed a custom link preview card. The card's layout is centred because LINE crops link previews to a square, and LINE is the gym's main channel.
  • Ownership. The owner owns every account: GA4, Tag Manager, Search Console and the dashboard. He received a clean code package and a bilingual handover guide. I remain an administrator for ongoing support.

Details that made the difference

  • The tracking reads fixed IDs on each button, not the button text. The JP/EN toggle rewrites that text while someone is on the page, so tracking based on text would have split one button into two rows in the reports.
  • I ran the setup meeting across the language barrier. I sent the owner step-by-step instructions in Japanese while watching his screen, and he finished the meeting owning his analytics accounts, with me added as an administrator.
  • I checked every number before calling the work done. Every dashboard tile was verified against GA4 before the owner saw it.
